There may be several reasons for this, and not all of them are described in the Odin phone firmware FAQ. In addition, it will be more convenient to have all the information under one spoiler. So, you want to flash the phone (it is transferred to the firmware mode), but Odin does not see it:
one). Reinstall Samsung drivers. You need to do this correctly. Go to the drivers folder. By default, this is C: / Program Files / SAMSUNG / USB Drivers / Uninstall.exe. We remove the drivers and restart the computer. We connect the phone, go to Devices and printers, delete our device (properties / equipment / properties / delete), connect, add the device and reinstall the drivers (we take in the Drivers and Utilities section), we reboot the computer.
2). One connects, but writes Setup connection and it does not go further. You need to disable the Windows firewall (control panel / system and security / firewall / shutdown.), Antiviruses and Kies (if installed. Disable through viewing running processes in the task manager / processes / end the process.)
3). Removing third-party applications for PC + phone. Some applications for working and synchronizing the BB with the phone interfere with Odin or even reinstall drivers. There are a lot of such programs and it makes no sense to list them here. It can only be noted that there are several good programs that have great functionality and do not interfere with each other and Odin. For example:
- My phone explorer
- AndroidCommander
Everything else is better to tear down and reinstall the driver according to the instructions above.
four). This item is for those who have more than one OS installed on one computer. When creating a VM (who created it, others don’t need it) in the settings, a USB port is cut and everything seems to be fine - the device is visible from two OSs, but one day when flashing through One on Windows, the device is not visible. The reason is that when connecting the USB port to another OS, drivers from Windows are either transferred or fly off. If reinstalling the drivers did not help you (and most likely will not help, even if the VM is turned off, they will be updated for it, and not for Windows), then in the settings of your VM you need to disable the USB port (Virtual Machine "Uncle Vasya" / properties / USB / turn off the USB controller / OK / save the VM configuration), reinstall the drivers on Windows, reboot.
