I have been using this laptop for over a year now, but suddenly there was a problem. In all games, the FPS is held in the "normal state" for the first 10 seconds, then drops to 10-20. For example, earlier in cs go fps was in the region of 100-130, now 20-35, while it can jump from 10 to 100.
1) Try to reinstall Windows on a clean
Ltsb (original image) 1607 build, and God forbid to put 1709 which is Creator Edition, the most unstable build in which everything hangs. There is still a fresh 1809 LTSC but not yet tested.
2) From the ASUS site, install only this:
- 1. Chipset_Intel_Skylate_Win10_64_VER101113
- 2. ATKPackage_Win10_64_VER100050
- 3. SmartGesture_Win10_64_VER4016
3) Next, disable all possible surveillance of Windows, make yourself a super admin.
4) In the power settings, select the high-performance mode
5) Disable
DVR: create a dvr.reg file in notepad with the following content: (double-click to start and confirm the merge)
REGEDIT4
; Disable Xbox DVR registry
; Generated by RegFiles.net
; https://www.regfiles.net/registry/disable-xbox-dvr-registry
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ GameDVR]
"AppCaptureEnabled" = dword: 00000000
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ System \ GameConfigStore]
"GameDVR_Enabled" = dword: 00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows \ GameDVR]
"AllowgameDVR" = dword: 00000000
If the first method does not help, then another option:
Google store_with_xbox.zip install from the XBox store and disable the fucking Xbox DVR in the settings
PS I personally, because of him, crashed and hung up GTA4, I was looking for the reason for a very long time and it turned out that even if you disable the screen recording in the nvidia settings, the service in Windows still slows down the game
6) Put the driver
Nvidia 381.65 or
391.35 (subjective sensations are the most stable and fast)
7) Install
Directx and
Microsoft Visual C ++ 2005-2008-2010-2012-2013-2017 Redistributable Package Hybrid x86 & x64 http://nnmclub.to/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1257747 (this is needed to run old toys)
In the Nvidia settings for the desired applications, select
High Performance Nvidia Processor Look like that's it.

And now one important nuance. Those are Intel drivers that are on the ASUS site and those drivers that are on the Intel site are different versions. If you try to install Intel drivers on a clean Windows not from the off site, ASUS produces an error driver signature, contact the manufacturer. So, I found in YouTube instructions on how to bypass this protection, I don’t remember in detail, but the essence is this - we remove all video card drivers (Intel + Nvidia + Chipset) with
Display Driver Uninstaller, Install the latest version of Chipset and the Intel graphics card, give an error, ignore it, select the driver signature installation in the driver manager, and only after installing the signature will the system allow you to install the latest version of Intel firewood.
Personally, I have the installation of new versions of Intel drivers opened new items in the Intel graphics settings menu and added FPS to GTA4. But from the minuses, the laptop began to get very hot. So at your own risk, I played a month with these Intel drivers, then after another reinstallation of Windows, I decided to leave the native ASUS drivers.
