Well, I took out my tablet and looked at the guts :)
On some issues for myself made some conclusions:
1. For disassembly - Anton wrote everything correctly, I can add from myself that it is better to start disassembly from the bottom, where the tablet is inserted into the keyboard.
Unscrew the screws under the stand, insert a screwdriver into the holes to the right and left of the keyboard connector and lightly press in the direction of the screen, insert a credit card or a mediator not too deep on the centimeter into the slot. First, flip the bottom, then the sides, the last top.
In the process of opening it is important not to lose the volume rocker / power button and the magnets to hold in the keyboard - they are not fixed.
2. In the process of studying the internal components, I made the following conclusion for myself - at least the revision of the board is the same for everyone, but we have some differences in the component base. For example, a memory - Anton clearly states that Samsung, but I don’t have the manufacturer’s inscriptions, only the abbreviation k4e630. Although it also beats that samsung. Also, we have differences on the hard disk - I have an unnamed disk with not the best Phison S11 buffer-free controller and one 256Gb memory bank, covered with a sticker, did not tear off, there is a program with which you can read the memory type, but I think TLC. I replaced this disk with Samsung 860 EVO 250gb, in the future I plan to take a disk of 480-512 gb.
3. On the motherboard, a lot of things are not unsoldered. Yes, and on the case itself there are places provided for the installation of additional components.
For example, there is a place under the vibrator and there are close contacts for soldering. Install and solder it easy
There are also incomprehensible notches on the sides.
The board has a non-soldered SIM card connector, emmc, very similar to the pad for msata or m.2 (possibly a modem) and a couple more contact groups whose purpose is unknown.
The SIM card connector will not be soldered to work, you have to tinker with the contact pad m.2. Then it will be possible to install a 4G modem.
For antennas there is a place. But the modem itself is afraid to interfere with ssd. Then the option is to replace ssd with the 2240 form factor. This is for who needs 4G.
4. Regarding the thermal mode, it would be nice for Anton to post the final version in the subject.
What about me, that is, thoughts of trying to further increase the heat dissipation, further cool the memory, time and hard disk.
He himself has replaced the thermal pad with the Arctic Thermal Pad, did nothing more.
5. It is sad that you cannot replace the Wifi / Bt module - it is unsoldered on the board. In principle, he showed himself well, I loaded it in full, showed a speed closer to 400 mb, but could be replaced by 867 mb.
It is also a pity that there is no contact group for outputting another usb connector.
6. From the unspecified in the characteristics you can add:
1) There is a red LED to turn on the device in the upper left corner above the screen. It also signals connected charging.
2) In the tablet there is a TPM module, it is displayed both in the device manager and is physically present on the board.
3) Use the Wifi / Bt Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 module with WiFi 433 Mbps support, Bluetooth 4.2 and WiDi!
4) In the case the screen stand is hidden in laptop mode, as in a surprise.
For sufferers, go to BIOS - you need to connect a keyboard via USB and press the F2 key.
