So far, the tournament is very boring. Today, too, all draws.
That is, out of 18 parties, only 1 productive (rude yawn).

Particularly depressing was the Party of Nakamura-Karyakin.
It lasted 104 strokes and most of the moves of the figure
maneuvered on its territory, and the board was
The blocked 13 (!) Located pawns ...

Today is all draws.
Nepomnya could sacrifice a boat with a boat with, at least, wipe the material,
But either he did not see, or he did not dare, or he considered the subsequent endgospilus unpromising.

The first round was supposed to end in peace on all boards.

Nepomniachtchi - Anand
Ding Liren - So
Aronian - Vashier-Lagrave
Carlsen - Geary
Nakamura - Caruana
Karjakin - Mamedyarov

But in the last installment, when after scrupulous defense
Nepomniachtchi was already close to the treasured draw, he allowed
unforgivable even for the 3rd category (?) Raman strike

so after the first round the chess veteran Anand is in the lead!
The rest of the parties seemed to be more or less calm.

Superfinal championships of Russia among men and women are also taking place now.
I only watch the budding 21-year-old Artemyev there.
So he has a catastrophe in general:

He lost the last 3 games, and before that 3 draws and 1 win ...
Already lost 17 points Elo. And before that, his growth was, to put it mildly, impressive:

P.S: the classic tournament with Carlsen has just begun.
List of participants:

Magnus Carlsen (Norway, 2882), Fabiano Caruana (USA, 2818), Dean Liren (China, 2805),
Anish Geary (Netherlands, 2779), Maxim Vachier-Lagrave (France, 2778), Wesley So (USA, 2776),
Yan Nepomnyashchy (Russia, 2774), Levon Aronian (Armenia, 2765), Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan, 2764),
Vichy Anand (India, 2756), Sergey Karjakin (Russia, 2750), Hikaru Nakamura (USA, 2743).

Carlsen gave an interview in spite of his depressing condition yesterday.
where he said that everything is going badly, he does not understand why,
it is possible that on the rest of the day this nightmare will continue and he
dreams of only one thing, so that this tournament ends soon.

Today, at first it seemed to everyone that he had recovered - after a draw
he won 3, but after the rout from Ding Liren everything again rolled down.
The result is again 50% (3 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses).

Blitz summary:

Total standings according to the traditional scoring system:

Attached Image

The total result according to the rules of this tournament was won by Levon Aronian.

1. Aronian - 22; 2-4. Ding Liren, Vashier-Lagrave, Yu Yangyi - 21.5 each;
5. Karjakin - 19.5; 6. Carlsen - 17; 7. Rapport - 16.5; 8. Caruana - 15;
9. Dominguez - 13.5; 10. Mamedyarov - 12.

Now Carlsen in both rapid and blitz is in second place in the rating.
In the blitz, he was “ahead of” Nakamura, who simply did not play in this tournament.

And on the 17th the tournament starts in the classics ... The most difficult mode is three tournaments in a row.
What should a depressed Magnus do? It will be a pity if he spoils such a game
imagine your own phenomenal rating in the classics, which will then be very difficult to catch up.
It is hoped that he is healthy and will be able to play classics in his former style.

The first day of blitz did not bring anything encouraging for Carlsen fans.
Magnus scored 50%, and out of 9 he won only 3 games.
It can be seen that by the end of the day he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown on such principles as

1.e4 e6 2.f4
1. e4 e5 2. Qh5

In the overall classification (rapid + blitz), the situation is

* Ivandg7050,

For soldering, the first thing you need is convenience, and a large increase is extremely rare, and your hands are trembling ...

From the point of view of convenience, it is better to have a digital one of this design:

* Ivandg7050,

If you are only looking at printed circuit boards, then with an x20 eyepiece and an x2 lens it will not work - a very large increase.
Usually even the X5 eyepiece is plentiful. I had mono (another brand) and then bought eyepieces with a lower magnification.
A total increase of more than 10 is extremely rare, usually several times.

It is much more important that you can slip a tool under the lens and that the circuit board does not rest against the microscope leg.
Otherwise, it will be a toy to look into it a couple of times.

And think about whether you need stereo - when buying additional eyepieces, you will need to buy them two at a time, it’s unprofitable.

LED backlighting should be on modern high-quality LEDs or on incandescent lamps,
But in absentia on the Internet you can’t check the quality of light. Most likely you will have to do the external lighting yourself (I did).

All the elite chess players of the planet play on the verge of human capabilities.
Therefore, a simple malaise or the slightest deviation in preparation for the tournament
can lead to unexpectedly bad results in any elite tournament.

Since after the quick chess tournament there should be a classic tournament, where
the whole chess world is waiting for a new record from Magnus, we can assume
that he devoted all his time and energy to preparing for the classics. In addition, to the end
I don’t see Carlsen planning to play classics anywhere else.

So I personally hope this is just an unsuccessful workout that only
will give Magnus sporting anger and we will see a domination worthy of the champion.
Well, the long Magnus swing at the beginning of the tournaments is also in everyone's memory.
So let's see ... :)
