(Manual from Vadimatorik) Here is what will be the result:
Preface: I very rushed and could not decide what to buy before buying a phone. And all because of the fact that my eye caught an interesting phone, namely "Balckberry torch 9810". I have carefully studied it, and be honest, disappointed. I was very attracted to him two things, namely the interface and a physical keyboard. And if I'm not interested in the keyboard so much, then here is the interface subdued at first glance, the only thing that prevented me to make a choice in favor of BB (Blackberry, in the future, I'll call him so.), So it's "little functional." He never came to my style of life, as it is "business phone". And that's why the choice fell on a smartphone, it is literally at the same price "
Highscreen strike". On it I did this experiment on" copying the interface. "
We will need. How did it all begin? Once, when I lost hope that I could find a normal launcher that would fully emulate a Blackberry, I came across an application that offered such an opportunity, it was called
"BlackBerry Torch Screen"., But he had nowhere worse reviews. And I myself, after installing it, was disappointed. This application could practically nothing. And then I decided that I would create the interface myself. Improvised means.
Let's start: We get a picture of the background table.
My first step was to search for a background image. For this, I pulled the downloaded application APK
"BlackBerry Torch Screen"., from the folder with the installed programs, and threw it on the memory card. Subsequently, by opening it with WinRAR, I was able to get a desktop image out of it.
Extraction process:
The resulting picture:
Overlay the Blackberry interface: Since there is no top bar in any launcher, you will have to do it yourself. To work with graphics, I decided to choose the program "GIMP 2", which has long been known to me, and since we are going to "draw" the upper panel, we can immediately draw the lower dock bar. When overlaying "darkness", I decided to use black rectangles with a transparency effect of 45.9%.
The process of making the menu:
The final picture:
Project in GIMP 2: GIMP + 2.rar(68 KB)
On the phone we have to throw this set of files.
Actions on the phone: Especially in order not to forget anything, I made a backup. For this, everything will be as phased as possible.
Install Nova launcher: To do this, go to the file manager and find the APK file "Nova launcher" there. Please note that it requires root rights. Next you need to clear the entire desktop. To do this, you need to "hold" the icon for a couple of seconds, and then a "cross" appears at the top, in the middle of the screen, and you will need to drag it there. You will also need to remove the icons from the docking bar. Everything except the "application menu".
Setting up Nova launcher: Now spend some settings from Nova launcher-m. To do this, click on the button "with 3 stripes", and select the menu "Nova Settings". Next, go to the "Desktop" tab and there select "Continuous search bar." There, we need to click on "Never". Thus, we remove it from the screen. After that, click on the "home screen". There, we need to remove all screens, except for one (the one on which there is a green check mark). To do this for a long time, "click" on the rest of the windows and drag them to the icon at the top of the cross in the middle of the screen. Next we need to set up the grid. To do this, again go into the settings Nova launcher-and, later in the "Desktop", then "Desktop Grid". And there we choose the following parameters: "line 10, column 4". In this setting can be considered complete. Transgressed to registration.
The process on the photo:
Put the desktop image: Now it's time to put a picture of the desktop has become. Tu, over which were the main efforts. Click on the "button with 3 bars" and select "Wallpaper". After that, in the appeared Gallery menu, we search for our photo there, and click on it:
After the edit menu appears. Since I assumed that the phone will be used only in the "Portrait" mode, I set "trimming" only for portrait mode. And I advise you to do the same. Click in the lower left corner on the second left picture and select "Portrait". And now expose the "selected cropping rectangle" as in the picture. And click "ok". Everything. Now we have almost everything ready.
Adjust the clock: Now it's time to install and place the clock in the top panel. Go to the conductor. And install our clock widget (Digital Clock).
After that, go to the application menu and there (at the top of the screen) select "Widgets" and look for ours. After that, we "hold" it for a long time and transfer it to the desktop, in the middle of the screen. P.S, you need a widget that is placed on 2 small squares (It is on the left in the picture).
After you need to edit the widget in size. You need to hold it for a long time, already transferred to the desktop, and select "Edit". Widget stand out blue rectangle. Edit its borders so that you can see the entire widget. And put it in the middle.
Now we change the icons: First of all, we need to arrange the icons we need on the docking bar. To do this, "hold" the desired application icon, and, after waiting a few seconds, drag it to the bottom of the screen.
After that, being on the desktop, you need to "pinch" one icon until a small list, which will need to select "Edit" and then come here is a window. In which to click on icons and icon, when choosing a place, where it will take on a new icon, select "Gallery". There you will find an icon that corresponds to your, but in the style of BB. After selecting the desired icon (pictures in gallery) will need to select the entire area of the picture. And click in the upper right corner of the "Encode" button. And, hurray, we now have an icon in the BB.
The result of this whole process will be a menu similar to the BB menu. With the same desktop, an approximate design, and a moving bottom docking bar. Nowhere could I find a dock bar that would change not only the size and number of icons, but also the number of rows. That's all. Tell me if you know how to do better, or otherwise.
