normal glass on the Pixel 2 XL except Whitestone Dome Glass

Still there is InvisShield True Fit from SG Fresh, a cheaper analogue of Whitestone. The idea is the same, UV glue and wide glass on the whole screen, but there is no bathtub for accurate positioning of the device during glass gluing. The number of glasses, tubes of glue, UV lamps and all kinds of accessories you choose yourself when ordering.Site, XDA thread(closed at the end of last year for some mysterious reasons).

with the cover is possible without the glass walk

Joking, but the thickness of glass is needed, so that the machine in the bag is not hanging, there was initially transparent plastic.

Already a year I go to the glass Whitestone Dome Glass and cover Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro. (From the cover pulled embedded plastic protector.)

During the year, an oleophobic coating is not erased, no scratches on the glass, rubber at the corners are not stretched. Front frame cover completely covers the edges of the glass, protecting it from chips and preventing the dust stick to the glue along the end.

For comparison, left 2 XL, XL right 3 with glass and the same cover.

If such modes are supported, but they are certainly supported

No, USB-PD recharges second pixel mode using only 9 V 2 A, therefore for their 30-watt mode 2 A 15 V and 20 V 1.5 A useless.

for the first pixel of the screen has a plastic protection cover for about a second will not.

Yes, Defender was the first with a plastic protector and the second without. These are the new trends in the Otterbox - covers for new phones renamed Defender Screenless Edition, so that people buy more glass for $ 45 and less complaining about Newton's rings under a transparent plastic.

lifeproof fre

A lot of bad reviews due to the waterproof membrane on fingerprint and Speaker / Microphone. Dust penetrates into the case all the same.

In Otterbox Defender outside rubber, polycarbonate in two parts. It covers a huge screen does not protect.

In Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro outside polycarbonate in two parts, on the sides of molded rubber. The screen is protected by a transparent plastic, but I always tear out so as not to interfere with glued glass. Case in size smaller than the Otterbox, but a bit more slippery, because the heel plastic, not rubber.

in otter and this phone is under protective glass?

In Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro and Lifeproof Pre has a clear plastic screen. Otterbox Defender have not.

so much money thrown into the "brand" covers

Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro costs $ 18. Whitestone Dome Glass I got for free.

Glass thickness to boot fits perfectly, and the cover in turn completely covers the edges of the glass and protects them from chips and dust. As a result, we get a hermetic design and otstutstvie micro-scratches on the screen, the rear window and the rest of the body.

What is the difference between wet film and cattle?

To the "wet" attached spray with a solution that is applied to the screen. Such a film is easier to glue, because even if initially not all the cutouts match, the film can easily be moved to the correct position until the solution has dried.
