It's still easier. We first register on eBay if we haven’t done so yet. All fields are naturally filled in Latin.
Then we get to the main page. Experienced buyers will see products here that might be of interest to them based on previous acquisitions and rates, all the rest - lots with free delivery, the best deals of the day, etc.
Now you need to find the thing that interests you. You can start with a list of categories. (See screenshots in the attached files)
Total categories a huge amount. The choice on eBay is really wide.
You can also search for the catalog of stores (yes, many sellers at the eBay site keep their stores, usually with goods belonging to the same category). Although I personally prefer a wide choice, not limiting myself to a certain “seller”.
Instead of rummaging through directories, it's easier to use a search - it's just great! Suppose we need a smartphone based on the Android OS. We write keywords, while seeing the suggestions-suggestions like in Google.
In the left column, you can narrow the search results by category, condition of the goods. It is also possible to choose the level and location of the seller, the format of the auction, limit the price frames, select lots with free shipping, etc.
In addition, for each category of things their own options for narrowing the search.
Well, then we will be offered to choose the look, style, color, style, material, size. As you can see, the choice is huge, and it is very easy to clarify exactly what you need.
Let's not forget about the search string, it also serves to narrow the results. For example, we searched for “phone”, chose the category “Cell Phones & Smartphones”, then the HTC brand and wrote in the GPS search bar. We will see all the phones from HTC, in the description of which satellite navigation support is mentioned.
If you want to search the entire site or in another category, use the drop-down menu to select a new category. (See screenshots in attached files)
Now we will analyze in more detail what we see in the search results.
First, the mini-picture (by the way, thumbnails can be made bigger with the help of special icons, or switch to the buy-now and auction items comparison mode) and the name of the lot (often with a brief listing of features).
Next may be information about the seller. The “Top Rated Seller” badge means that the seller has high ratings from buyers, a good quality product and quickly sends the lots.
However, it is not necessary to choose Top Rated "sellers". If the seller has a lot of positive reviews, he can already be trusted.
Next comes the number of bets already made on the lot (if it is an auction) and additions about the possibility of "Buy it now" or "Best offer". Then the price plus the cost of delivery (or the mention of free delivery - only in the case of sorting the search results by price), in the rightmost part - the time remaining until the end of the auction.
It is very convenient to sort search results using the drop-down menu in the upper right. (See screenshots in the attached files)
I think everything is clear (time, price and delivery, distance, best deals). Sorting depends on your personal preferences, but if you are interested in the goods with delivery to Russia at a low price, then the best sorting option is "Price + Shipping: Lowest First" (cost + delivery, starting from the cheapest). Thus, you can immediately see the cost of lot and its delivery to Russia. Moreover, the first lots will go with delivery to Russia. With such a sorting, eBay can clarify your location. (See the screenshots attached files)
With any other sorting, if you want to see only lots sent to Russia, you should go into the advanced search options. (See screenshots in attached files)
Further you will see the already sorted lots with the indication of the cost of delivery and scroll the pages, finding the one you like.
So, let's say you liked this wonderful device. We look at what to pay attention.
The right column is Seller Info (seller information). Naturally, your joy of buying - how fast the item will be sent, how high-quality it is and how much it fits the description - depends on the seller. Be sure to see how many reviews he has (the number in brackets after the nickname). How many reviews are enough - you decide. Usually, 100-300 is enough for me, but, of course, sellers with 30,000 reviews inspire respect.
But the number of reviews is not the only important digit. After that, the number goes the interest of the positive feedback among all the reviews. This is the main number. If the reviews are even 50, but 100 percent are positive - why do not trust the seller? Reviews I recommend reading (including - separately negative and neutral), especially from those people who bought the same thing as you (if you manage to find). After all, even if there is a negative - and where without them, it is not so bad. Most often the moments of misunderstanding the seller and the buyer. For example, the buyer did not see that shoes were "Momerica", and left a negative feedback that the description was incorrect. And if I read the description, I would understand everything in advance. Well, the reviews like "disappeared and did not send a lot" or "Low Quality Product" should make you think - is it worth buying from such a seller? By the way, the seller has the right to respond to negative feedback, explaining the situation.
eBay is generally good because everything is built on reviews. There are a lot of sellers and things too. And if the seller receives a lot of negative feedbacks, then the buyers will simply stop ordering from him - after all, there are a lot of other offers! Very good self-regulating system. Sellers are in every way afraid of bad reviews and are ready to do everything to make you satisfied. For example, they return the money in full or send a new thing at the first request, if the parcel did not arrive within 30 days.
Unscrupulous sellers are found, but those should be avoided by choosing those who have a lot of positive feedback. Although everyone started with something, and therefore a seller with a single review can “grow into the top seller”, but it’s better not to risk it.
Now pay attention to the column on the right “Other Item Info”. It contains a unique lot number, the location of the seller and the country to which he is ready to send the lot, as well as an acceptable method of payment. There are a lot of lots on eBay with delivery only across the United States - this means that there is no delivery to Russia and you won’t even be allowed to make a bid.
But if you really want a lot, you can contact the seller via the “Ask a question” link (you can find it at the bottom of the page with a description of the lot) - if he meets you.
If “Worlds” is indicated in “Ships to”, look for additional “Excludes”. Below is an example - for worldwide delivery, the Russian Federation is excluded. Thanks only to the “good” work of the Russian Post and the “good faith” of some of our compatriots!
Let's continue to explore the page with the lot.
Left, how easy it is to notice, the image of the lot. Be sure to carefully consider photos of things you want to buy. Than and more and what they are better - the better. If you are not enough information from the photo and descriptions - do not hesitate to write the seller, help you - his duty. Near the photo lot is its name, below state (new, used, etc.), time to end of trading, the number of remaining lots, price. For auction - number of rates, starting rate, field for entering your maximum bet.
A small drop-down menu allows you to add lots to different sheets. In particular, the “Watch list” is a convenient tool for tracking lots of interest to you with email reminders.
In the lowest part of the description of the lot - the cost and delivery method, return terms.
By the way, there was a lot of new things on eBay as new and used things. In the case of clothing, there are two gradations of the state - "new" (sometimes add "with Tags" - that is, with tags or "in box" - in the box) and "USED" (synonym - "pre-owned", used) . If the thing is not new, carefully read its description. For example, I saw the non-working iPhone, which in the photo looked perfectly and in the title about the existing defect was not written. If you hurry to bet - you have to buy a broken device. Although in most cases for damaged things it is written in the title - "Broken" (or more specifically the type "Water Damaged").
If we talk about the detailed description of the lot, then each one is different. Although everyone has a general description of "on the plate", the items in which depend on the category of things (equipment, clothing, etc.).
Description The plate happens both relatively informative and extremely brief. Well, all the information about the lot can be seen below, here each seller has its own colorful design with all the necessary data, a large number of photos, etc. If for some reason the seller does not indicate all the information you need (use of the used thing, detailed sizes, completeness) or provided an insufficient number of photos, you can always contact it on the "Ask a question" link at the bottom of the page with Lot (or on the link "Contact Member" in his profile). Feel free to ask questions, you still buy a thing remotely. In the case of clothes, so as not to "burn out", it is better to ask to fully measure the thing (and then yourself) and check whether it will suit you. By the way, keep in mind that in the USA sizes are indicated in inches. In the case of shoes, it would be nice to be asked to measure the sole, because even the same size from different manufacturers and in different countries may differ.
So, the seller suits you, the lot is pleasant and suitable, you can either make a bet, or “buy now”. In any case, after winning the lot, you will receive a letter of congratulations and a “pay now” button. And there are lots that need to be paid immediately, otherwise you will not be allowed to win them.
Payment of lots can also be issued from your personal account, where there will be a line with the name of the lot and a reminder of “Pay now”. Payment terms are specified in the description of the lot, it is rarely more than 7 days. Do not linger, so as not to "run into" the sanctions from the seller. It is better to pay immediately after the win - then immediately receive a positive review.
Can I refuse to purchase the winning lot on eBay? The answer is unequivocal - not. You have made a transaction and are obliged to buy back the thing, and the seller is obliged to sell it to you. Of course, the cases are different, and therefore the possibility of canceling the bid at the auction is still provided. The process is described in detail here.
http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-retract.htmlin the "Help" section.
In short, you can cancel the bid in three cases:
1. You sealed in the amount and wrote, for example, $ 99 instead of $ 9 (and, after canceling the bet, you need to make a new one).
2. After your bid, the description of the lot has changed significantly.
3. You can not contact the seller in any of the available ways.
In addition, it is possible to cancel the bid only at least 12 hours before the end of the auction. If later - then only for an hour after the bet and only your last bet will be removed, but not all. If these conditions are not suitable for you, it is necessary to cancel the bid (or worse than that - you have already become the winner of the auction), then the output is one - immediately write the seller, apologize and call the reasons why you do not want to buy a lot. I had a similar experience, most often "Sellers" go to meet without any sanctions. But still failures from buying is better not to abuse, and always make bets only on those lots that you really intend to buy and can pay. Remember: on ebay there is no possibility to win a few lots, and then buy only like!
How is the delivery in the case of buying several lots from one seller? As a rule, sellers provide a discount on delivery, if they have more than one product. Many separately write about such an opportunity ("Combined Shipping") in the description of the lot and indicate the cost of sending another thing. Naturally, the joint delivery is impossible if you buy products from different sellers - after all, they can live in different cities, or even countries, and will not meet to go to the mail only for you.
Of course, the opportunity to save on delivery is possible not only when buying several copies of one lot, but also of different lots from one seller. How to order a "combined" delivery? Everything is simple, you need to talk with the seller. You write to him, they say, I want to buy this and that from you (you can specify links and individual lot numbers), is it possible to send them in one package and how much will it cost? You receive the answer, pay for the lots and wait for the parcel.
