| Search features allow you to quickly find topics or messages containing the keywords you entered. There are two types of search: simple search and advanced search. You can switch between these modes using the 'Advanced Options' and 'Simple Mode' buttons. Simple mode In this mode, just enter the keyword in the search field and select the forum section (s) to search (to select multiple sections, hold down the Ctrl key on your computer keyboard, or Shift / Apple on Mac machines), and also select the sort and search order. Improved mode In the advanced search mode, you will have many more options available to refine your search. In addition to the search keyword, you can organize a search by user name or by both parameters simultaneously. You can also refine your search by selecting a period of time, as well as using a number of sorting options. There are also two methods of displaying the results: you can either show the full text of the message, or just display a link to the topic — you can configure this option using the switch. If this option is enabled by the administrator, you will have to observe the minimum time interval between searches, this tool is used to prevent flooding. Also search forms are located at the bottom of each section of the forum to quickly organize a search in the topics of this section. |
