In fact, Google’s redefining Android tablets in the form of ChromeOS tablets. And a competitor to the iPad, which Apple will introduce today.
Straight, like the first Android-tablet from Google - Motorola XOOM.
Only if they can compete with tablets on Windows 10 ARM? : blush:

But still this particular device is stillborn.

Great budget.
There is a stylus and support for android applications through Google play

Rep: (28)
On the one hand, it’s a pity that on arm, on Intel, it would be possible to launch Windows applications .. By the way, does anyone have the info thread, how well do the playmarket applications work on compatible Chromebooks?

In general, the machine is interesting, IMHO better obn aypad, which yesterday showed .. but taking into account the fact that the tablet is designed for education, I am afraid that we could also put a deshmansky screen without lamination .. From the chips that really liked in the sabzh updates during 5 years (but it is better to check it once again on the support page when it appears there), type-c video output with dp 1.2 (megakrut), stylus included.

How well do playlist applications work on compatible chromebooks?

So on Pixelbook (video).
And this device is half of it (without a keyboard, Core iX-processor and NMVe-memory), but it does not cost $ 1000 + $ + stylus as a gift, and not for $ 49/99. Only LTE lovers were offended, really.

And surely we, as always, will be deprived with a novelty. But without notifications, that prevents ordering from abroad,

It has long been waiting for the premiere of this Eiser. For more than a year, I want to change the dying Nexus 9, but now doubts have crept in:

1. Based on spy photos, I hoped that the size would be no more than 9 ".
2. No LTE and mobile network versions are foreseen.
3. No fingerprint sensor.

All this suggests that the tablet is focused very much on an unbiased audience, but I myself do not belong to this.

Rep: (28)
Apparently it was considered that for the 'education', lte and fingerprint are clearly superfluous, plus the price .. it formally stands as an ipad. Here is a display without lamination; it can be really a setup.

Declared support for virtual reality Google Expeditions AR (as if for students and teachers during the lesson):

And also on fresh renders, a LED is noticed near the power key:

And the speakers seem to be stereo, and they are located at different heights, for example, if you hold it horizontally, and the power connector is on the right, then the speaker will be on top, but on the left side it will be on the bottom .. but maybe it's just the render curves.

* Sser888,
And there is:

I dug up the XDA with a link to the Google support site:
Release of software updates may continue after the official date of termination of automatic updates, but can not be terminated before it.
For Chrome devices, this date comes no less than 6.5 years after the release of the hardware platform.

The hardware platform came out in the beginning of 2017 (on Samsung Chromebook Plus). So at least 5 years of updates are guaranteed.

Rep: (28)
In theory, here the subject should appear and I think it will have 5 years of support for it .. nexus could only dream about it. It is important that the playmarket will already be out of the box, as many devices of the first generations have not received it ..

Rep: (28)
If the display is lamination, then in general there is a cool one, since the new ipad does not have stereo speakers (although it’s supposed that there are two of them) or lamination, apparently these are not needed for 'formation' ..

"Power adapter: USB Type-C 45 W Google PD AC adapter" - very impressive if it is really 45 watts, and not just the model name.
